Barack Obama and the spiritual power of faith

by Paul de Blot 1 December 2008 permalink

To the surprise of the world knows Barack Obama the hearts of Americans to win and even outside the U.S., he became an inspiring figure. On the one somehow knows the confidence of the people to win. What is his power to people in motion?

Confidence shows his spiritual strength. This occurs when someone manages to create space for opponents and making them for friends and associates. Barack Obama shows in his choice of staff competent persons he considers whether his supporters or opponents were in the political struggle. He is a realist and recognizes that actual situation who can support them effectively. At the same time he is an idealist, he has a great mind and knows what he wants to make a world. This attitude goes beyond the existing political divisions and he knows the people to take up his dream. He is open to any dialogue and breaks away from prejudice. That creates trust and it hits people in their hearts.

All the essential ingredients of business spirituality in this attitude of Obama to find. Realism and pragmatism effective in doing next to an idealism that opposites do to transcend. It creates confidence and is so busy with men. It is an irrefutable fact that the impossible can be achieved with confidence. Without trust there will never be achieved, how knowledgeable they also work. In the banking sector this is apparent. How well qualified and also set up a bank, as customers no longer have confidence they get their money from the bank and invest them in a different place, and the bank goes bankrupt. There is nothing else to do. Only trust can win back the case to save. The strength of people like Mandela, Gandhi, and now Obama is to trust what they know to win.

It is the way an organization deals with people who trust wins. The crisis, companies and banks lay off people. What happens to the human they can trust. Where it is inhuman to work can mean bankruptcy because confidence in the policy is lost.

A relevant example is the American Southwest Airlines, which like all other airlines in America after September 11 disaster was a serious crisis because most of their passenger flights retiring. All companies had to lay off people, but Southwest has no wish to dismiss the confidence of the people do not weaken. "You were there for us, now we are there for you" was the reaction of the workers but also of the passengers. Many passengers ask for their money back, senior executives took no salary from September to January, and many workers poured a portion of their salary back. Despite the harsh business world of flight duty nobody was dismissed thanks to the spiritual power of faith.

Thanks for this article I've been reading nodding approvingly. When it seemed that the economy is concerned, I see my views confirmed. That gives me confidence again! Inspiring, thank you.
