Uncertified teachers in education have a hard

by Paul de Blot 15 August 2009 permalink

Uncertified teachers in education have a hard time as they can read in the newspaper. How come? Their training is not because they often have very good knowledge. I think that uncertified teachers in the healthcare sector, where a great need for power, will experience the same problem. Yet it is a good development as both the care and education with uncertified teachers can be enhanced. But there is more than a technical hands-on training level.

It is not about an intellectual expertise or technical skill in the work, but a competence of the heart and consciousness of a vocation. Care for patients and clients and attention to the education of youth requires a process of awakening. This spiritual awakening is an awakening to the fact that people in this work is meaningful and that for people who want to live. To this end one must learn to look at the care of sick old man as man, and not just the disease itself. This concerns in education also seeking man's knowledge because knowledge itself is worthless without a focus on people. This approach requires a different skill than they used to in the private sector, in banks or in the bureaucracy.

Working with and for people draws attention to relationships, relationships with all stakeholders, customers, patients, colleagues. The direction of this relationship processes is also only possible from relationships. It is not a market but the uniqueness of every man to his full potential. The uniqueness of the relationships is an unrepeatable process that can enrich and complement each other.

When they re-enroll in this is about to awaken to the richness of relationships, new possibilities for creating new forms of leadership may arise. The possibilities of human orientation are potentially already as the natural foundation embedded in healthcare organizations and educational institutions, but often remain unconscious. With expert guidance can be made aware and spiritual wealth at all levels of the organization experienced. It's not just a matter of the top of an organization but it can also be bottom-up from all members aware. This experience can work for patients, clients and students, but also to colleagues.

The professor Gerrit Broekstra, points out in his study of business spirituality as meaning that the human genetic code, one rooted in the organization. The awareness of this gives direction to the proper conduct of the people of an organization and can be consciously perceived by employees as a spiritual force. In his book describes Broekstra the power of leadership as a deep structure by its genetic code. This genetic code is living happily in the care and education, but is due to the political policy under great pressure. Hopefully they can avoid transfer students this fall.

This article is from my heart seized.
The shot by systems thinking in health care and education and especially the "dominant" form of control by a "superior" government, the consequences are visible every day. Access for transfer students (read, in their eyes, not the experts) is a bottleneck in these sectors. The "strongholds" were in position to remain within the system and the system solutions that only come from within the system. Fortunately there reversals visible and people are happily aware of the boundaries. Partly as HBO and hospitality professional teacher I find that strange eyes in the system difficult to be admitted. Especially in healthcare, which is really a pure hospitality business, I see the struggles to invest and old things to let go the person / patient very centered. The protocols there something about, but in most educational and healthcare facilities, hospitality management (yet) formalized strategy. What we need in a country where about 70% of our GDP is generated in the service in any form whatsoever. How will future leaders (yet) be trained in service management. Leaders so that their service colleagues to have to make service to their customers, patients, consumers, arrestees, members, residents, participants, etc.? Which provides training in there?

@ Fons Bitter: Thank you for your support. Not a program meets your requirements. You should begin to yourself and to the leadership of yourself and if you exude leadership

    Dear Paul,
I totally agree with you that education should inspire people for a better planet. (Certainly HBO)

Only the reference to the so-called transfer students and their lack of success of this project, I find premature.

I think the closed culture of education to blame.

In fact, I does not exclude that they entrants more "animated" than the many teaching staff.

    With rousing greeting,
    Jack

Kerremans @ Jack: Jack you're right that education is also to break open its closed culture

    Paul,

Another worthy and right and hit article.
The challenge is just da senior management
In exel-driven organizations no longer good
    know what relationships, connection, passion,
    sensitivity is.
Actually there is therefore the major challenge.
It may be from below, the pressure is increased
and adjusts to the manager or go away.
But I hope we are able managers
coaching support, but so that they must
    also want to get.

Greetings and love to talk, call us!

@ Hans Topee: you can not change others and can only start with yourself. That definitely affects
