I have been working for 45 years both in education and in healthcare. There I met people with a strong inspiration. Their idealism I have to thank that I have enjoyed working in these two sectors. I am always grateful for them. At the same time I saw that very often they were frustrated in their expectations, often so strong that it pulls out. This is the largest destruction of capital for these institutions.
People are often unaware what is love for the craft alive by teaching people, including hospital and people in other similar institutions. It is the great emphasis on verification that are often the enthusiasm of highly successful and philanthropic institutions undermined. Unilaterally imposing a rational planned and exclusive focus on financial policy, often choked the inspiring environment of the organization. The pursuit of scale is also often the cause.
Scaling commercialized and weakens the human relationships and the job satisfaction and inspiration. The heart of the organization touches by greed and easy machtsrivaliteit petrified and should again be a heart of flesh and blood people can quicken.
In education is all about the inspiration of young people in the future to build. Then follows the success itself. In the care of people, it is the atmosphere of hospitality, to feel at home making it easier to recover. It is about creating energy to inspire the people. Animate always starts small and it always starts with yourself. Inspired people blasting it out and are contagious to others. Then automatically creates an inspiring organization despite the opposing forces.
The American professor of spirituality and management, Bene Margaret Fielding, has investigated the effect of successful animation companies. These mainly follow the heart and dared to dream of big results. Dreamed of ideals of good teaching and successful care, then the soul to move Bene said Margaret Fielding.

Dear Mr. Blot, a magazine about a deepening binding & MBO setting, we as editors like to write an article about the lack of passion in education. We are excited touched by your lyrics and would like this theme in broad and outside the school on the order. We would like also some excerpts from your blog text to submit to the staff at the school and external policy setting in education-related. Do you think that good? Thanks for the inspiring quotes and eye-openers. Who do you really responsible for the 'ontzieling'van education and how we can get it back? A nice weekend to. Sincerely, Marijke Roskam - editor
@ Marijke Roskam: Thank you for enthouasiasme. I write my articles to distribute them. So feel free to use excerpts from me. I am also interested in
Dear Paul,
I recently (as a trainer / consultant), both in healthcare and in education and ended up looking for inspiration I came (back) on your right. You give advice often as "Be an example" and I totally agree.
You told me something which I very much and I've had success because of the simple like other readers of your blog to share. You said (maybe you said something very different and I twisted it to my advantage, but it was at least in your words inspired) "If your silence can speak languages, you can hear what people say." Of course true that, but the nice thing is that I've noticed that if I sense they share with others, that everyone will immediately understand what I mean and that there is suddenly a very different level of information transmission. Exactly the level that is so necessary in the care and education.
With gratitude,
John de Haas
@ John de Haas: John thank you for understanding. You're absolutely right. Qe4 silence language you jet off
Dear Paul,
Recently I learned from you simple but effective combination of business genius and feeling.
It's really awfully logical, but you're the only one who came here. It inspires. What were the main reasons for me to study business spirituality?
Greetings!
Simon (17 years)
Dear Paul,
First, thanks for your insightful newsletter that gives me more inspiration. I agree with your analysis about the importance of inspiration and think that it is certainly essential in the education and health sectors, but also necessary in all other sectors, both publicly and privately.
I myself have for years inspired in the public sector, social work and recognize the process of mergers and expansion after the inspiration had disappeared completely. Transparency, motivation, commitment ... everything disappeared by verzakeling that they forgot to "connect" with the spirit and purpose of the organization.
For me it was the reason for the road from my heart to follow and be independent businesswoman. Now I have my own business I am coaching and counseling people of color in nature and coach in their life and business coach business spirituality.
The connection between soul and pragmatism, the realization that this is not opposing forces but by connecting a quality improvement can be made, nature plays an important role.
In my nature even the most important link in this awareness, because in nature we can "experience" that everything is connected. It is through the experience 'know' we from the inside how important that connection and we translate that much easier for our daily activities at home and at work ... This process of awareness brings a loving flow going and determine how we face life with humans, animals and the environment interact.
Kind regards,
Straw of Vlasselaer
Rietje of Vlasselaer @: thanks for your support Rietje. Ikbnbij that it recognizes and it works.
Dear Mr de Blot,
I can not but fully agree with you.
We (Research to Improve Care and core) were last asked to investigate the experience of patients. I'm following a 30 year old satisfaction that still used, proposed a new type of research to work. I put into taking on trust, where I include quality approached from multiple perspectives, all from the experience of the patient. The experience of the skills we made an care professionals distinguish between professional, patient-oriented and people oriented. I employ as Spiral Dynamics in which specific sets of values could be linked to the behavior that is recognized by patients.
* Expertise (blue): clear, informative, adequate
* Patient-oriented (orange): thoughtful, courteous, service-oriented
* Human-oriented (green): empathetic, compassionate, connected, compassion
The scores evaded each other much, but that also means that many professionals in the eyes of patients is very people-oriented and that I find a great compliment to them. Especially when you realize that the hospital in various frames bad scores.
Soon Lee Fred comes to the Netherlands. He is in America a strong advocate of a human-centered, spirited approach in hospitals. I told him of our approach and we will meet next week. Perhaps this experience that I once again write a little blog.
I really enjoy your contributions!
@ Marcel van Marrewijk: Thanks for your comment. I welcome you notice that there is still good things to be done. Go through it and keep courage.
Dear Paul,
The above in mind, having come to me several 'variables' top.
That the potential connection would be dependent on culture is strange as both cultures have love for the profession. Love for a profession is, I do not depend on culture. At least it does not belong to depend on. Love is independent. Love is a natural thing and not a cultural thing.
It was not in my Ignatius' culture that made him love for God and the disadvantaged. It was Ignatius himself, indeed! Ignatius came to this realization through a crisis. Love for God, nature, life etc. Love yourself. You can only give something when you yourself have. It was not the love that was dependent on financial resources. The medium-free education was dependent on money. Although Ignatius had no money the love remained. The cultures that took place within his organization could work because the goal, love of life at all was the same size and was the sole objective. He achieved this through his exercises. Exercises to the general realization to come. This awareness is accompanied by divine inspiration. Everyone was different except their faith.
Like any religion can be compared to a variable is the constant faith, the one goal. Faith can be compared with nature. The various religions to culture. Inspiration is like the realization that Ignatius reached. (I think.)
If the animation is good does not matter whether large or small scale is applied.
The animation is somewhat offset by economic reasons. We know the people in the care and education. Who knows that even the government. The government used that passion for the profession. They use it as a means of emotional manipulation. But how far? How long until there will be gereld the courtyard?
It is how crooked the government treats the principle inspiration. People in the banking sector, inspiration, love of money. People in health care and education for the inspiration man. Yet the people who have passion for money than rewards. People who inspire people coming there from scarce.
The banks appreciate money. They do not appreciate people because they will not care less whether someone is hungry or not the yellow. The policy helps the banks. Not man. If you make a decision could remove the excess together delusional (can be read literally because money is relative, because it can suddenly evaporate) money away from banks and give it to people who appreciate the man.
The signal that politics has it conveys something of wrong action. Money is neither culture nor nature better. There is only one thing better, and that is "good spirit", love.
What is a rich culture? Natural or rich? That depends on the amount of 100 euro notes? Guess not.
A banker working in relation to care and education are not hard. He knows a trick, loophole for someone to rip. As the basis, never made an honest reading, there is love but is not interchangeable. For it is only the love of the banker for money increases, not the customer. Being stripped. Fair basis is actually a scale in balance. I've often said but not everyone can live with but you should really unite and divide. Honest. Balance will be achieved only if it is 50-50. A system that only works if one of the two variables should be more does not work. Ultimately destroy one another. The system now used is based on capitalism, fight, competitors. That one needs to be 50 so the other must decrease. You will therefore never exceed 100. If two parties have the possibility of their 50 a 60 to make, if that is fair for you to award anything other than the 60 60 = 120. You rise above yourself. It is more. A strange thought when you think that parts can be more.
We were taught that if you share everything is always less.
Go forth and multiply .... ... Unite and divide. Does the same apply only reverse. Go is the same as unite sure if the next "assignment" is to multiply. But if you unite together and divide the result will always be more than one. Because everyone knows we are together and everything is perhaps share the awareness up so that you really need anything. Because everything is already there and if anything there is nothing really. Yes, one thing ... .. love, life.
In short, you can talk about forever, but the awareness is not good and when is it right - you will never get anywhere. You must choose.
Life is black and white. Not gray.
PS; Suppose the spirit in health care and education is good, then no problem would have produced the same as everyone deserves. Join the money-your income and spread it among men. Honest. And fair is not a more or less money.
For suppose there is a section on Jesus ... who is less than the director but the director has only love for money. The patient will not be healed by the Director.
Below is a statement from the so-called Thomas Gospel. It is about culture and nature.
Jesus said: "A man can not ride two horses or two arches efforts. And a servant can not serve two masters, or he will be the one and the others revile. They never drink old wine and new demands immediate drinking. Also do not pour new wine into old bottles, so they do not crack. And they cast no old wine in a new bag, so he did not spoil. There is no rags to sew a new garment, because there will arise a tear. "
Statement-by-thomasevangelie.net
You can not be true to yourself and to society. You can not have a natural life and play in an unnatural culture. Any compromise compromises. You can not participate in a just and unjust society. You can not save everything and its opposite. It is not and / or but and / or. It is not gray but black and white. Nature and culture do not mix, but one is always at the expense of others. If one is more, the other must decrease. 100% Culture is an unattainable utopia, 100% nature's paradise. So it started and it will end. You can not from one day to the change. You can not create new life next to your old life. You can use your new life not to use old mistakes.
@ Reza: Thanks for your long comment about love. You are absolutely right and give the example but you love because you can not change others, but yourself.
Dear Paul,
Very clearly expressed.
This is my opinion the whole society, life and happiness is in the little things.
Scale is anonymous and it's just human nature to be known.
Luckily I find that so many commercial costs associated with large scale, that the efficiency of the small scale again opportunities for commercial exploitation on a small scale. I feel that it is the passion and involvement in this decisive.
To respond to Dr. Piet-Hein Prince CISA:
Business Spirituality is indeed a universal regularity, it was you just out to determine that worth due to large scale applications possible in the context of the animation are torn. When you look over the proposition, you should conclude that the omspannigsvermogen within the company and the organization too much violence is done. It is therefore illogical to those cases involvement and inspiration under the microscope to take, the problem is precisely the area of applications.
Fri modeled on Keuning / Eppink can therefore argue that the model is no longer in balance, because no growth or even adaptations have been in different parts of this model.
Sincerely,
Ben Paardenberg

Dear Paul,
First my compliments for this vibrant Blog and its capacity to clarify this issue.
In relation to your article I would like to posit the following proposition from an organizational perspective: Although the basic principles of business as lawful and universal spirituality can be put down is that their application may not. The application is a combination of these principles with many variables that are governed by culture (country, company, family, background etc), language, place in the world and the economy. In my study of the practical applications of business spirituality, me and two friends (a psychologist and Prof. Dr. Dr. Hans Roordink Saskia Mulder) encountered a potential factor that I'm going to call connection. Although it sounds like a mathematical approach, it is not (not really). Potential connection is the extent to which individuals in an organization (whether or not a change) are capable of (unconditional) connections (relationships) with each other at all. Call it spontaneity, call it social behavior, I call it connecting potential. As I said, culture is a very important component and this brings me back to your article and the book by Margaret Fielding Bene and particularly the applicability of its findings in the American Dutch business. I think we can learn from her book in that universal principles, which you always repeat, apply and that the American culture and country culture as variables in the formula by which companies have contributed to their success.
What I would like to examine whether these variables are also in the Dutch business. Without separately now willing and able to go as a group we thought up this issue even more ICT specialists to examine (the subject of Hans and myself) involved in change processes.
I'm Hans Mulder realized that he next Tuesday for the second time, your reading will attend (the first reading Hans join me and Saskia attended to) and you will approach for an initial consultation on this research to link potential within Business Spirituality.
To be continued.
Sincerely,
Dr. Peter-Hein Prince CISA
@ Piet Hein Prince: Thanks for your comment. You are absolutely right. The application is highly culturally specific because it is the interaction between doing and being. This interaction is different for every culture and every organization. I have detailed in my chapter: cultural pitfalls in Export Management Handbook. I publish a magazine in my nogover. Each organization is unique! Thanks for your comment
It is not nice and wise to confidential information of clients of Ernst & Young as attorney information to others through play. Not so spiritual, I think.
