The misunderstanding of spiritual renewal is that it is a spirituality that is easily perceived as vagueness. In essence, however, is the concrete reality, a different way of looking at this reality and discover their inner strength.

The religious, spiritual and secular side of our existence belongs to the same reality, each from a different perspective is seen. Once we experience reality in its essence, we discover that everything has to do, and coherence of all existence. Our personal interest in the light of the all-encompassing reality transcended and we experience the people and the natural environment as full partners.
My personal coach once asked me: when did you last hear a bird sing? The answer was no problem against cost, because when I came home I heard a bird in the garden often I whistle with wonder and admiration for standing still. I listened without my realizing what was happening to me. It was always something new that enriched me.
I looked at the fall of the first snow of this winter, a child who first looked at with great admiration, to the snow with a surprised look and snatched watched. The boy smiled at his mother with a richness of life that left me unmoved. The song of a little bird surprised me, a child that falling snow looked surprised me, but a colleague who offered to help me unexpectedly when I knew no advice surprised me. I do a deep sense of gratitude and it was all over again if life was new.
When I was a colleague same question when he last had heard a bird singing, he had trouble with an answer. I've wondered if it was not poverty that holds us in the crisis has paid us so busy that we have no time for us to wonder and gratitude we feel.
Moments of silence and simply enjoy are the sources of new inspiration and new insights. For me, the moments when I do raids what I should write or to speak. It was this reflect on admiration and gratitude that I feel empowered to take on me busy work. Unfortunately, we pass through our busy lives to not silence. Even holiday trips are scheduled so busy that there is often little time for reflection.
True innovation comes about from the reality of our existence by looking at it differently, from the heart with wonder and admiration and gratitude. It is silent and reason speaks to the heart of love. We see people, we see children, we recognize real joy and sadness, and then discover what matters in our lives. We experience something divine. What God does for most people the same, but their images and expressions are all different. In wonder and gratitude we experience this idea of God as goodness, as a form of love, simplicity and inner peace. It is so good and so beautiful! This is the beginning of any renewal.

Best prof. Paul de Blot
I would like to ask a question which I can not answer.
After my illness in 1995, I spiritually transformed
I had ovarian cancer with heavy chemotherpie.
I found it difficult
otherwise I'm going to look at the human
My vision is
I see the man
as a total picture of life
with a life before and after death
I know that many people
only believe what they see
that makes it so difficult to talk about it
then you go convince
I no longer want
I have done enough
I help children and adults
those stuck in their emotional
Children who sleep badly
often scary dreams
can not concentrate
fear
many adults have difficulty in maintaining
because they are so sensitive
therefore, they have many impressions
they can not handle
their senses are more developed
that indicates the load they have
I know this from personal experience
if it bothers you then feel more
see, hear, smell, taste more
you, as it were flooding
that you do not know
you try to maintain
the feelings and impressions
not feel
it also means that you suppress
because there is no one that explains
that's how it works
to me this is true
that has given a great change to my life
I'm all lost at some point
what was dear to me
there arose that I've become even more sensitive
I am as it were in my heart I came to say
from there I may live
There is a trend emerged
no one believed
understanding of who might have
I mean doctors and psychiatrists
I have contacted the Center for Parapsychology in Utrecht
find them
that I should develop
a study to follow in that area
I tell what happens to people who come to me
I can help them and good results have
The people who come have different symptoms
children with autistic spectrum related disease
children who are very out of balance
insomnia
creepy things to see and hear
that goes beyond the death and injuries
where much blood in sight
with skeletons and other scary things
dads and moms who will die shortly
an accident going to get very
if those children come to me
something goes into my body
I magnetizable than children
by talking and tinkering
they are more open to me
so it works better and faster
I also treat adults like this
I have a husband who accompanies voices had been 15 years
He had a couple of suicide attempts
because he was commissioned
the votes after three months away
He then had to be accompanied
his life to live well
There are also people with a burnout
or other heavy energies
I can lift
Now it is true that I get problems
because I'm working on my upstairs room and
If I look around me
so many horrible things I see and hear
I think
by that I must give
to a larger group of people
who can do something with
I want also to investigate if necessary
because I have such great results
I wish that I could explain
someone who takes seriously
I am a woman of 60 years with a lot of life experiences
serious and persistent
hence this letter
I hope you can answer my question
if there is anyone who can help me
Yours sincerely
Dini Simons
Paul Day,
Very true! Indeed confused with vagueness. My experience also seems to occur when the "enlightened" words / phrases that the listener can not be caught in a concrete representation.
The example of a bird singing is very practical and easy to imagine.
ps when I last did a bird sing? Every morning! My alarm on my phone is the song of a blackbird, hot summer morning, dew on the grass, red sun of the rising Sun
In other words, better wake up that!
For everyone: Enjoy the day! Mvgr, Pim worth the
@ Pim de Waard, what a wealth Pim Thanks
Dear Mr. de Blot,
Inspiring article. I recognize (fortunately) the rest of the moments of encounter. I must strongly reminiscent of Martin Buber in the I-Thou encounters include ground rules as you name. At any moment, from the collection of surrounding "it" for something light and allow themselves to meet. Something of his being to tell us. And that "it" can singing birds, or a ripple on the water, a conversation with someone, the words we read, ... everything. These are really not things that you can enforce, but your call to be open to the reality around us (and I take it very well) is that of thirst in a drying existence, rest areas are (and are!) by everyday there!
Thanks and regards,
Rob

Dear Paul,
A wonderful column. The son of a Christian Reformed minister, I have weekly rational side of God and love before, but never personally experienced. As a child I thought about the meaning of life, but found the answers in the church unsatisfactory. Too complex to be true. I have always been curious about the spiritual. There had to be a better explanation for our earthly existence. I'm always glad I'm gone my own way and I'm attracted little of what is customary. It is precisely these experiences have taught me that our thinking is precisely what our limited perception. But I must say that it was not an easy step to the limitations of my own thinking and observe to see. It was an inner breakthrough with many consequences. That everything is connected and that the contradictions that our children still in school (eg large vs. small, good versus evil) expressions of the same. But God is not distant man (and if they do so would be, he also has a feminine side), but that we are divine. That the divine within us. That we are creators and able "a new day" creation. Each and every day. But we must also choose, for with that same power can do much damage. Another result of this breakthrough in consciousness is growing compassion for others. Because we humans are essentially one and the same. This love for me has meaning.
Much of these "discoveries" I've done through interviews with a psychologist, but also by the silence to find (eg in a quiet monastery, but also in nature). It's hard to describe how such intense and wonderful experiences, since they are therefore personally. I for one am very happy and grateful to have the steam in my life to use as wind in my sails, the way I've found my heart. And the good thing is that there is no way back! So I can every day whistling through life, with or without birds nearby.
Thank you very recognizable Column Paul. It is those, some small moments of wonder that matter. As enjoy the wide variety of birds in the city center. I live in Rotterdam. Since I made this video of a nightingale in our neighborhood who is domiciled chosen: http://vimeo.com/5113778 It happened more in our neighborhood that is about the relationship between man and animals and the significance this may call: http://peterdekock.nl/2009/09/18/de-oversteek/

To add the action to the word ... everything is different.
New layout? Nice and cool with that green.
Green stands still for healing?
Everything is different, as it would lie to me indeed. Spiritual renewal is not really floating. Except if you do find.
But as each problem both the smallest and most can be solved by a spiritual solution. It's weird that we can agree on such water rights over oil rights but we can not agree. The only solution is spiritual.
You write about it all hangs together I enjoyed this day because I read about the "unwritten doctrine of Plato. That doctrine is grand in its small.
Assumed Content
Note: The following description assumes that Plato's unwritten doctrine for us to understand, or that there is not much that is to fathom. It is merely an attempt something factual to display the relevant testimonia, without too much interpretation. For a much firmer understanding and extensive interpretation the corresponding German Wikipedia article.
The indefinite duality and the One-Good
The various manifestations of Aristotle on this subject are summarized like this: As the ideas of the constituent elements of sensible objects, so are the 'big-and-Kleine'en the "One" the constituent elements of the Ideas. Elsewhere he suggests that "Great and Small" as the "indefinite duality". For Aristotle, everything is a combination of form and matter, and in his view, this Platonic doctrine must be understood as: the ideas as "matter" the indefinite duality, and as a 'form' The One.
The most obvious connection to Plato, as we know from his written work can be found in the Philebus: it speaks of the 'specific' and 'indefinite', where everything around us is composed. This would go to the next level for the Ideas are, where the 'certain' to 'One' has become.
General is also the Pythagorean belief that the One is the Good. Plato was also a unit that had higher status than anything else. That the One is identified with the Good (in the Lecture on the Good) do not need unsurprising. When this One-Good then made to coincide with the Idea of the Good, as described in the State, one has a testimony that Plato existed at the time of writing the State unwritten theory behind the hand.
Ideas are the numbers?
In the above, all references to the Pythagoreans. In some places, Aristotle says that Plato's Ideas were numbers. Plato and elsewhere that these numbers are limited to ten (Physics III, 206b 32, and Metaphysics Book Mu, 1084a 12), a view which Aristotle does not appreciate [5]: there are still more than ten ideas needed to explain all the existing ? But many believe Plato would refer to the decimal system. Furthermore, [6] Aristotle wrote him pyhtagoreïserende the notion that the numbers produced by the "indefinite duality" (which probably meant the Idea Numbers are not 'normal' numbers).

@ Reza: Reza thanks for your philosophical comments. Good luck
Beautifully. The nature and silence are indeed for me a source of inspiration and energy. There is always something to see and do. The snow and the sun were great the last few days.
@ Verlaan Mariette: Mariette nice that you recognize. Good luck
Paul Day,
Spirituality is the integration of everything, visible and invisible, and is reflected in the smallest things like the smile of a child. You know aggressively marketing to help us understand what spirituality really is, I thank you!
Sincerely yours,
Ilse ten Berge
Ilse @ ten Berge: thanks for your comment Ilse, I'm happy
Beautiful as your life experience. Merci that you propagate.
Spirituality and connection with life and nature is so very important to learn once again open to the Trust that we all desire so much to give and experience. It can give a fresh perspective on life. Is becoming increasingly difficult for many people to compulsively also have to live without many any future experience. This is because the reality is more and more experienced.
We keep continue to strive for more and more, into competitive spirit and see the many trees rarely the woods yet, let alone the beauty in themselves and others. I wish you a nice day.
With warm greetings
@ Marianneke: Thank you for your recognition Marianneke. I am glad that it recognizes jet
Nice column, moments of peace and quiet are very important indeed. I am both a business consultant and acupuncturist / tai chi teacher. Through meditation and tai chi regularly I get in a state of total silence. It's like vanishes and connected with everything.
If I stop meditating or tai chi and step back outside and intense nature seems more beautiful than before.
In short, I fully agree, give yourself room for silence actually seen the beauty of nature and brings you closer to your own nature.
Hopefully get more people into the business world, inspired by the words of Paul. That would benefit us all and the world we live.
Kind regards

@ Daniel Rademaker: Thank you for your nice comments Daniel. Good luck
Thanks for this wonderful column. What would the world look great when we all know "the best things in life are free"! I had to remember quote from the Bible: Watch the birds, they neither sow nor reap nor they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. How far will you go beyond the birds! "
@ Edwin Brink: Many thanks for your recognition Edwin. It strengthens me
Thank you Paul, your column put a smile on my face and a very nice warm feeling, I received your words directly into my heart. This is therefore another day to remember.
Geke
@ Geke Bruins Slot: Thank you Geke, the smile is precious you can give to others
Not professional, but someone who knows that birds in the winter pretty quiet
. I look forward to spring when our back yard filled with song. Now we try to feed into places filled which is very unusual lot (so much fun) visit caused. Even a lame wild pheasant is occasionally stumbled in our garden. So they must be very very hungry. So pros, if you want to hear many birds singing, like some food (located in the supermarket) hang out! Yours!
Thank you Paul for the great question, "When did you last hear a bird sing?". A seemingly simple question that brings a lot! Again thank you! Keep up your excellent work and spirited!
@ Ronald Molendijk: Thanks for your comments short but rich Robbert
Dear Paul,
I told you last Monday for the second time in my life to meeting (now at the evening lecture at Nyenrode) and stay amazed at your ability to find the right words. Also in this colomn know a wonderful way to capture what I wish every man would like very much and can recommend. Keep ears, eyes and other senses open and enjoy the little things and life is becoming richer. Ute said one week ago, quite rightly "in terms of your experience ...", but Paul thank you for it in this way "... our experience" to know!
Richard Nieuwenhuizen
Nieuwenhuizen @ Richard: Thanks for your comments Richard, everything is indeed recognizable as it is deeply human
Paul Day, I just confirm what you write, because I've worked I Tokyo and even in the weekends, I notice that you saw or heard no birds, or perhaps I was too busy the 'rat race' to pursue and the mentality that birds ate ... :-)
Nice column. Many people do many things without attention and take no rest. I myself often have too little. Many of us have not learned to live deliberately, noting all the things on your way to face. It's quite difficult to break that pattern. I can keep getting better and it's so wonderful to live. I feel also that the very moments of peace and quiet a huge boost of inspiration and creativity.
That is the advantage of working in a location where all facilities nearby, and where birds are singing that I hear when I am in peace and quiet.
Now it gets an extra dimension by this column
I have only recently discovered by the movie of your reading for SME Power Plant, but I feel that I am you and you thought my whole life. Thank you for your illuminating insights into this column, it gives me a moment of inner peace and strength so to return to continue.
