It is incomprehensible to many that despite the strict control yet again and again big mistakes are made, even by bodies which are not allowed to make mistakes as the judiciary, police, medics and even the church.
There are indeed many great and irreparable mistakes. It is therefore obvious that one tries to do everything to avoid mistakes and there are increasingly complex control systems developed for this purpose. The youth, as it were indoctrinated not to make mistakes. Without denying that mistakes should be avoided wherever possible, I ask myself whether it would not be the biggest mistake to think that people are not allowed to make mistakes. People always make mistakes!
With everything people involved are also necessary, in my mistakes. I have always taught my students that during their training have the opportunity to make mistakes to learn from them without being fired. Dare therefore use this opportunity to gain experience. The greatest expertise is mostly from experience. The richest source of experience are precisely the faults which one has to learn.
Man is weak from his mistakes but learn from them strongly. It appears that many revolutionary innovations are often due to errors. Many successful entrepreneurs recognize that they have become successful through their mistakes. Mistakes are part of life, and learning from mistakes as well.
Companies and agencies are obviously out to make no mistakes. For this they developed alongside control routines and protocols to prevent errors. But effective control systems are stifling innovation and brakes off by unilateral attention to errors. The rapid technological developments affect these systems quickly become obsolete and thus sneak it in new errors.
All you have to have wealth and knowledge and possession by a single error can be lost if you do not learn. Learn from our mistakes is especially deeply aware who we are as humans, what is the meaning of what we do and what we in the depths of our hearts desire and want. What we are is never lost and will always remain, for generations.

Dear Paul,
For me the first time to be able to read your colomn.
Wonderfully inspiring!
What should we make a huge difference in the world, when we go to keep making mistakes. Because if we keep focus on avoiding mistakes, we play it safe. We go and take less then a part of our own potential unused.
When we begin to see errors as opportunities to learn, we dare to take and we will shine as we intended.
So: LOVE YOUR MISTAKES!
Warm Regards Noreen Tulner
Every person has the knowledge that no man is infallible. So will every man can understand a mistake or error, as long as it provides insight into how this could happen.
Because every body or institute is led by people such bodies are not infallible.
However, what people can not understand is that there is no transparency. Mistakes and errors arising from tunnel vision with professional bodies, cover-ups and look the other way as with the institutions. Take no responsibility and hide behind the "correct procedures applied." This is rightly public incomprehension and rejection.
Be transparent, open and vulnerable and everyone will see more than only that mistake.
After all, everything we see is the result of what we've been given.
Dear Paul,
With great interest I may again and again a piece of wisdom from your
e-mails me to take.
In gratitude, that your beautiful words and images others
may inspire a better world. Since you are an example.
X I hope you may meet informally in conjunction with
inspired other inspirations.

Dear Paul,
Yourself the freedom to come back to make a decision is a great thing, if this space is not given is the greatest good what you have "freedom" and no longer can or should you only think in frames or patterns.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Paul,
I again read with much interest your input and would like to respond to this:
CHOICES
"Mistakes are always made ..." I'd rather replace with "Choices are always made ..." Learning from the consequences of the choices we make in my view, only when we consciously make our choices and take responsibility for the consequences of that choices. Of course the choices of my neighbor's influence on my life, but choose it myself how much I allow. That is actually a choice.
PEOPLE
You do it over and over again that authorities make big mistakes. I think we should talk about people rather than bodies. People may otherwise remain hidden from the authorities behind the choices made. They are the people who must take responsibility for even we let this happen.
BIG
"Fatal errors" always bring big changes with it. But more must be done to BIG changes. For even now the consequences of those errors can be seen and felt I still see the same people in suits or frock go about their business and receive bonuses and hundreds of thousands of followers.
I believe we are only able to do great changes if we choose to be big. Big in love for ourselves and for each other and act in everything we do and the choices we make.
EXPERIENCE
"Man is weak from his mistakes but strongly to learn ..." Is man weak because he makes choices that do not have the desired outcomes? Indeed, we learn by yourself. It has very, very long time before I realized that every time my kids for something I guarded them while depriving the experience to learn. Letting go was hard for me. For my children this meant space, freedom, sometimes hard fall but grow much faster through all the experiences they gain.
CHANGE
Actually, I indicate that we have many different things can change if we appoint. It gives a different energy, brings a different feeling induced, other reactions. It's often little things like: "I want to ..." instead of "I must ..." or "You had done differently ..." instead of "You have it wrong ...".
Personally I believe not in 'good' or 'wrong' and not 'good' and 'evil' or in the Free Will. And every time we get a chance to do things differently, make new choices, to learn. I also believe that we need each other to learn and know ourselves to re-Groots so we can think, say and do to the biggest changes to come.
Just because we and our world that are worth!
I am very sorry that you can not be present at "The Mirror of Success", I'd really like to meet.
With warm regards,
Kitty
Nice piece but in my view there are no mistakes only learning moments.
Errors and / or failure also sounds very negative and attracts people to get into the deep end while there is no reason to do so.
There is "something" happened where one is not happy or not the outcome, learn from them and do the next time no more.
Do not understand why the people themselves and each other as difficult because basically everything is very simple.
Dear Paul,
Personally I would go even further. Can you also fail as a human being? So make no mistake but a sincere right intention but miss the point entirely. Is there room for second chance and learn from your mistakes? Or is failure at a time in your life is a prerequisite for a leap to make in your consciousness?
Sincerely,
Marco
Dear Paul de Bot,
Perhaps the biggest (underlying) problem in this, our thinking is right or wrong. For who decides what is right or wrong?
Bert Hellinger (author of books on family constellations), writes that love is hidden behind everything. He is one of the many visionaries of this time we want to clarify this understanding.
I see myself no more right or wrong to me. Well that every action we do, whether it's something to think about is whether our actions has a consequence. Both for those who think and / or acts as for those involved.
Thinking in right or wrong or guilt and innocence contributes to the suffering in this world. You can not see something than it is. Neither of yourself nor of the other. It will lead to displacement rather than liberation. It's just what you choose.
A heart greeting Wonieka
Hello Paul,
The nail on the head, without more, we learn from our mistakes, often good and quick, enriched us, especially immaterial.
Sometimes it's as if someone does not learn from mistakes, errors may not learn, then what?
With thanks and best regards,

The success of the clown, the mistakes he makes!
Are not we all a little clown?

Value Paul de Blot,
Many thanks also for this column. These orphaned in involuntarily (?) To the opening of a previous of your hand I far as I can remember my, in my own words with your elnemen, ran thus: "All I Firstname failed me but what is succeeded by chance and especially thanks to my friends. "With this quotation and citation of course I decided the conference Cultural diversity & sustainability of the City of Tomorrow and Stick Ting NextMove March 25 jl in the Van Abbe Museum. So, I thought, I could all those who, given the reactions, successful event enabled to thank.
Your column today reminds me of a saying of Goethe: "What is not original, is of no significance but what is original always wears the shortcomings of the individual with himself". In those shortcomings are also the mistakes which have been taught, I think - I hope. In short, who is without fault cast the first stone.
I once conducted an interview with a famous pianist. We talked about the tension prior to each performance. This is necessary, otherwise you can not charge and not the correct concentration give evidence, he said. But sometimes the tension so high that you can make the strangest mistakes. He said he after a concert once laughed. Suppose now that the composer had gone on that one "wrong" chord, or one little mistake I made? Then there would be a very different piece arose. That's interesting. Mistakes can be really interesting, then you understand a composition sometimes even better, touch you deeper, he decided this part of the interview.
And conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt, to my taste one of the great "Kulturträger" of our time, told me with a twinkle in the eyes, always so keen as that orchestras play, splash right: play exactly as in the score. "But then you can get started. Then the musicians with the "Strom of Musk" life and it shows no sinecure. "Harnoncourt knowing a bit, he says here also that music is about emotions and expression, which can not meet the yardstick. And it varies by model. Thus, another listening tempos other desire.
Sincerely,
Lucien Knoedler
Dear Paul de Blot,
What you at the end of your column suggests, namely:
"Everything you have wealth and knowledge and possession by a single error can be lost if you do not learn" what I bluntly. After all, your knowledge can not be lost, provided you have obtained in an honest manner and therefore have gained experience. And I see riches in this case only as material wealth which is indeed one stone can be lost. Spiritual wealth, however, you can enrich precisely in periods when life hits you inflict. And that's exactly what I miss in your analysis. Because you write:
"Learn from our mistakes is especially deeply aware who we are as humans, what is the meaning of what we do and what we in the depths of our hearts desire and want." This is indeed the essence why we are here on earth. But the question arises whether we are in the right way to ask who we are and what the meaning of what we do. If we only look at our short stay on earth look, without regard for the creatures around us, and if we do not consider the consequences of our own actions in our existence in the next life, we learn not from our mistakes.
I think that the nucleus where it matters in life. How are we in this life? We take our responsibility to look within, be honest with ourselves if we consult ourselves or another life. And if we find that it really to our own "I" is, dare we then to change us and serve to draw? Do we dare the other in the first set, but also love ourselves?
If we do now, the world looks today a tiny bit better off. If we all do that, see tomorrow's world a large lot better. If we insist that one year, the world of our children is a heaven on earth. And as we all strive for?
Once we have achieved, your last sentence: "What we are is never lost and will always exist, generations," a truism be. But then we have to work itself and not the fault lay with another.
Sincerely,
Elisa Kriek
