We live in the tension of elections. The discussions are mainly dominated by austerity. It's always about money. Politics moves especially around the dictatorship of money and we try our democratic thinking by an appropriate regulatory framework to safeguard the dictatorship. This pattern is very old.
The ancient Greek philosopher Plato shows in his book on the politics though how democracy leads to anarchy because anyone without knowledge of the policy also wants to determine. According to him, which leads to the need for a philosopher as a leader. This is someone who goes out of his mind, of the well-being of man. I think we also stand. The current policy has lost faith and people seek more depth and meaning. Unfortunately, this voice is too weak. In politics remains a central theme and saving money is the central point of discussion.
Democracy is essentially focused on the freedom of a people to its well-being to work. But over time there is a shift to the centrality of money. It is as if making money is the goal of democracy and of the life of a nation. Everything is converted into money and therefore, democracy is thoroughly destroyed its very essence.
Pecuniary nature is made, the human forces are converted into cash, our happiness is defined in terms of money, caring for sick and old stands or falls with money, education is ultimately determined by money. Without us being aware we become entangled in the dictatorship of money. Our spiritual freedom is becoming more chilly by greed and our hearts of flesh and blood becomes more and more ossified in a physical heart of money. That our lives are ultimately aimed at something higher like a blurred meaning is lost. We easily forget that ultimately it is a human world, it's about people who want to make something beautiful ideals of their lives.
Fortunately there are opposing forces at work that are aware that about people. There are parties, very weak, which is for man and nature to worry. And organizations and companies who realize that ultimately the human well-being is, of man and his natural environment. Unfortunately penetrate these vital forces not yet in our bureaucracy, which are highly intertwined in control and regulations that stifle work on human well-being.
Our bureaucratic system is highly entangled in the networks of money. The main concern is to secure the money. The bureaucracy is the man but a machine part of the money machine. Money is necessary, even essential, but it remains a useful tool and can never be objective of the policy. This dictatorship of money and bureaucracy of financial controls can only be broken by the spiritual power of meaning. This is the ultimate goal of our democratic politics.

I myself am an entrepreneur for over twenty years and have been through a lot at this point. The ups and downs, the certainties and uncertainties of you requested (physically and mentally), a bankruptcy, a reboot, conversations with your bank. Everything.

And besides, what makes you think the ultimate goal of spiritual meaning is a democracy? Democracy is about equality and that each person counts, but spiritual meaning? Frankly I think that something like 'preaching to the converted'.

I am completely happy with your response Astrid. It grabbed me from the heart. This weekend packages I just invited a number of women to talk about what choices we can create. What I have in mind is money is indeed reduced to what it oorspornkelijk is a great medium of exchange for goods and services.
But I also want to think about how we can influence the perverted money system where banks and governments with big money speculating. That's basically all our money (and a lot of air). The oligarchy of the banking world can happily squander and many people are familiar with the system itself puisant become rich. The average citizen pays the price through drastic cuts, while we deal with all our money is no democratic influence. You can not. That has to stop.
Invest in the natural environment and thereby involve young people is that I keep busy during the past year. Through creative and educational projects, I try to work on improving the experience of nature on a farm, increasing people's involvement in the authenticity of the stories of the cultural, art and nature I try to set a mutually reinforcing program . Governments call my ideas hopeful, but the subsidy flow is under pressure. In short I am working hard with landscape architects, art experts, artists and performers to the estate of 65 acres to revitalize in the most idealistic way possible. Our foundation is obviously no profit, we want to experience, meaning and consciousness, commitment to each other and with nature.

I follow this election period actually more intense than any previous. I notice that in my life stages move from conservative to progressive. Thank you for your inspiring column. I would like to give a brief supplement to the political parties that you might mean. There are currently far as I can tell, three spiritual Parties: New Netherlands list 12, Party People and Spirit List 14 and List 15 All of the Netherlands. Of the three parties is roughly give a characterization Party People and Spirit as the most 'left', New Netherlands as "moderate" All of the Netherlands and the most 'right' of the three.
